On Wednesday November 10 we had a session in which we had to reflect on our PPD’s and give feedback to our partner. First, I re-read my feedback from my tutors and looked at my portfolio while doing so so I could understand what they were talking about. After that, I switched portfolios with my classmate Hannah. I made sure to give her some feedback about what was good in her portfolio as well as some constructive criticism. I realised how helpful this activity was when I got some different feedback from Hannah.
The tutor’s feed back was that I needed to include more experimentation and that I needed to show my process more. Hannah told me the same thing that my tutors did but she also said that I needed to write out my thought process so it’s easier to understand my ideas. That was helpful and gave me a different perspective on my own work. It was also helpful to get repetitive feedback as it shows how crucial it is for me to make sure to work on a specific area for my next submission.
