The external sessions were really helpful as not only did I explore new places in London but I also learnt the importance of location in a shoot. I really enjoyed exploring the areas and finding artistic spots to take pictures in front of. It was fun being able to tell my friends to pose a certain way in front of specific backgrounds as I was just so inspired by the environment around me. These sessions made me realise how much I enjoy shooting outdoors compared to shooting indoors. I feel like I enjoy shooting outdoors more because of the natural light and the endless amount of pretty locations in London. I also love the idea of taking pictures in a location and capturing a moment where the location looks a certain way. An example would be when I took pictures of the city when the clouds looked a certain way and the sun was shining, it was special because it may never look exactly like that again and it’s hard to recreate that in the future because it wont be exact. Whereas indoors it’s easy to have a white background and bright light and with that you can recreate most indoor shoots. I was pleased with how natural my ideas were flowing just because of the environment I was in and the fact that I was so good at scouting interesting locations in the area I was in.
